Praslin Island and Vallee de Mai
Second-largest island with the Vallee de Mai palm forest protecting endemic Coco de Mer palms and seabird colonies.
Praslin is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Vallee de Mai reserve. Walking trails wind through the forest of giant Coco de Mer palms (producing the world's largest seed). The valley also hosts several endemic bird species. The island has beaches (Anse Lazio is superb) and resorts ranging from budget to luxury.
