La Digue Island

Small granite island known for stunning beaches, ox-carts, and a relaxed pace with minimal vehicle traffic.

La Digue is the smallest of the three main islands and the most charming. Cars are rare; people bike or walk. The beaches (Anse Source d'Argent, Grand Anse, Petite Anse) are exceptional. The island vibe is laid-back. Guesthouses and small hotels cater to budget and mid-range travelers.
