Nosy Be

Beach island off the northwest coast, hub for diving, whale-watching, and tropical relaxation.

This island (8km long) is Madagascar's primary beach destination. Whale sharks migrate through surrounding waters June-September. Coral reefs offer diving and snorkeling. The main town of Hell-Ville has hotels, restaurants, and boats for island-hopping to nearby atolls. The pace is resort-like compared to mainland; ideal for decompressing or diving.
