Kissama National Park
Angola's oldest and most accessible wildlife reserve, with elephant, antelope, and bird viewing.
Located 60km south of Luanda, Kissama (formerly Quicama) protects savanna and grassland habitat. Game drives reveal elephant herds, buffalo, and numerous antelope species. Birdwatching is excellent. The park suffered heavily during Angola's civil war but is recovering. Facilities are basic; hire a guide or join a tour operator from Luanda. Best visited during dry season.
