Benguella Beach and Colonial Town
South coastal town with wide beaches, colonial architecture, and a fishing harbor.
Benguella (or Benguela) is Angola's second-largest city and main port, with a relaxed beach atmosphere and Portuguese colonial buildings. The waterfront is scenic; seafood is excellent and fresh. Less touristy than Luanda. Good base for coastal exploration. The beaches stretch for kilometers; swimming is possible in calm months.
