Kenema & Diamond Mines
Regional hub in eastern Sierra Leone with diamond-mining heritage and markets.
Kenema is the center of Sierra Leone's diamond mining. The town has markets, shops, and a museum documenting mining history. Diamond trading happens here, though buying diamonds without proper knowledge carries risks. The surrounding region is agricultural and green. A few hours from Freetown.
