Cotton Tree & Freetown Waterfront

Historic colonial landmark and restored waterfront district with markets and restaurants.

The Cotton Tree is a massive, ancient ceiba tree in central Freetown, a gathering place and historical symbol. The surrounding waterfront district has been partially restored with colorful colonial buildings, markets, and food stalls. It is the heart of Freetown's street life and culture.
