Atlas Mountains Trekking (Toubkal Region)

Multi-day hiking through Berber villages and peaks, including North Africa's highest mountain, Mount Toubkal.

The High Atlas, south of Marrakech, offers accessible trekking for various fitness levels. Mount Toubkal (4,167 m) is a popular 2-3 day trek accessed from the village of Imlil. Routes pass Berber villages where homestays and guesthouses offer cultural immersion. Lower-altitude treks suit most fitness levels. Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) are optimal. Local guides are affordable and add immense cultural value. Weather can change rapidly; preparation is essential.
