Tripoli Medina and Red Castle
Historic walled city center with Ottoman architecture and the Assaraya al-Hamra fortress museum.
Tripoli's old medina retains Ottoman and Arab architecture with narrow streets, souks, and mosques. The Red Castle (Assaraya al-Hamra) is a fortified complex hosting a museum of Libyan history and ethnography. The harbor area is picturesque but security-dependent for visitor access.
