Tsehlanyane National Park (5,600 hectares) is the more developed and accessible of Lesotho's parks. Located in the north (accessed via Leribe town, 2 hours from Maseru), it features mountain streams, river gorges, and riverine forest. Hiking trails range from short walks (2 hours) to long treks (6+ hours). Waterfall hikes are the main draw. Wildlife includes eland, mountain ibex, and numerous birds. Accommodation is a rustic lodge (80-200 LSL/night) and camping (30 LSL/night). Day visits are possible from Leribe or Maseru. The park is less remote than Sehlabathebe but still offers significant mountain immersion. Best season: September-May (mild, dry conditions).
