Îles de Los

Scenic island group in the Atlantic, accessible by boat from Conakry for beach and relaxation.

The Îles de Los (Islands of the Foolish) lie just offshore from Conakry and are a weekend escape for residents. The islands are hilly, forested, and surrounded by rocky coves. A few small settlements exist on the islands; boat tours and day trips are possible from Conakry. The islands offer a reprieve from urban heat and a chance to swim in cleaner water than Conakry's beach.
