Pongara National Park
Coastal beach and lagoon reserve with marine turtles and wading birds; accessible day trip from the capital.
Pongara protects beaches, lagoons, and mangroves south of Libreville. Leatherback turtles nest here seasonally (August-March). Birdwatching is good. The park is less developed but accessible via day trips or short stays. Local guides can arrange canoe and beach walks.
