Pristine coastal rainforest reserve with forest elephants, buffalo, and deserted beaches; one of Africa's best wildlife destinations.
Loango is Gabon's jewel: rainforest meeting the Atlantic Ocean, with elephants on the beach and pristine lagoons. The reserve protects forest elephants, hippos, buffalo, primates, and hundreds of bird species. Accommodations are upscale eco-lodges. Access is via charter flight from Libreville. Game drives, canoe trips, and beach walks are offered. This is world-class wildlife tourism in unspoiled landscape. Best December-March.
