Akanda National Park
Mangrove and coastal wetland reserve with waterbirds and marine ecosystems; good for birdwatching near the capital.
Akanda protects mangrove wetlands and coastal ecosystems north of Libreville. Birdwatching is excellent, especially for waders and seabirds. Day trips from the capital are possible. Boat access through wetlands is primary. Less developed than southern parks but accessible.
