Senegal River Manatee Reserve
One of Africa's largest manatee populations in riverine habitat.
The Senegal River hosts a significant manatee population in a protected area. Boat trips in the dry season (November-May) offer chances to see them in their natural habitat. The river is also lined with baobabs and traditional Fulani settlements. The experience is tranquil and wildlife-focused.
