Nyika National Park
Highland plateau with sweeping grasslands, mountain villages, and crisp mountain air rare in Malawi.
At 2,600m, the Nyika plateau is Malawi's highest area, offering cooler temperatures and panoramic views of surrounding valleys. It is more alpine than tropical. Horse treks, hiking, and scenic drives are the activities. A few basic lodges and campsites exist. The isolation and scenery justify a 2-day visit.
