A small fishing village famous among backpackers for cheap accommodation and water activities. Kayaking, snorkeling, and boat tours of the lake are easy to arrange. The beach is rocky but swimmable. The village is ethnically Tonga and welcoming to visitors. It is a place to decompress rather than sightsee.
