Mole National Park (Northern Safari)

Ghana's largest national park in the northern savanna with wildlife viewing, birdwatching, and lodge-based safaris.

Mole National Park is Ghana's primary wildlife destination. The park protects savanna, woodland, and water sources; wildlife includes elephants, antelopes, warthogs, hippos, and 300+ bird species. Visitors stay at Mole Lodge and undertake guided walks and game drives. The lodge is basic but comfortable. The park is accessible from Tamale (2-hour drive). Birdwatching is excellent year-round. The experience offers a taste of African wildlife without leaving Ghana.
