Tendaba Camp sits on the Gambia River inland from Banjul. It is a base for birdwatching (400+ species recorded), wildlife viewing, and cultural excursions. The lodge is basic but comfortable. The surrounding area is quieter than the coast; hippos, crocodiles, and antelopes are visible. Visits to nearby villages are arranged. The experience is immersive and appeals to nature lovers and birders.
