Kasai Rainforest and Indigenous Territories

The vast Congo rainforest interior, one of Earth's largest carbon sinks, with limited tourism but unmatched wilderness.

The Kasai region contains pristine rainforest with bonobo populations, forest elephants, and unprecedented biodiversity. Access is extremely difficult; only specialized organizations (Bonobo Conservation Initiative, local guides) can arrange visits. Requires extensive travel, permits, and serious commitment. This is frontier exploration, not tourism. Rewards are unprecedented wildlife and ecological immersion.
