Kahuzi-Biega National Park
Eastern mountain forest protecting lowland and mountain gorillas; restricted due to insecurity.
Kahuzi-Biega protects a montane rainforest with lowland and mountain gorilla populations. However, South Kivu province is volatile and dangerous. The park is theoretically open but travel is unsafe. Avoid this destination. Gorilla trekking is safer in Rwanda or Uganda.
