Odzala-Kokoua National Park
Pristine rainforest reserve with forest elephants, gorillas, and massive biodiversity, one of Africa's best-kept secrets.
Odzala is among Africa's least-visited but most biodiverse reserves. The rainforest harbors forest elephants, western lowland gorillas, forest buffalo, and 1,000+ bird species. Access is limited and expensive; only a few lodges operate here. The remoteness is the draw. Reach it via chartered flights from Brazzaville. Trekking, canoe rides, and wildlife watching are offered. This is a serious commitment but the rewards are unmatched.
