Bangui Cathedral and Orthodox Church
Impressive white cathedral dominating the skyline, a landmark of colonial Christianity.
The Cathedral Notre-Dame de Bangui is the spiritual center of the city, finished in 1901. Interior is plain but striking; views from the square are good. Open for visits. Russian Orthodox Church stands nearby, built by Soviet engineers in the 1960s. Both are functioning places of worship.
