The Mandara range in the Far North is a series of volcanic plugs and granite outcrops rising dramatically from the Sahel plain. Kirdi communities have terraced the hillsides for centuries. A full-day guided walk connects three to four villages, passing granaries, market gardens, and traditional shrines.
